What it Means to be a “Best Place To Work”

As you may know, CENTURY 21 Judge Fite Company has been recognized as a “best place to work” multiple times over the last several years. Although we are proud of this recognition from the Dallas Morning News, Dallas Business Journal, Fort Worth Magazineand Texas Monthly, we are most proud of the pride our staff and real estate professionals have for our company.

I don’t remember when it became so prevalent to look for and find companies to work with that provide a great culture. However, I know that I often hear and participate in conversations about it. Further, I often read articles about what makes a company a great place to work. Based upon what I’ve learned, I know there are several things to look for when looking for a great place to work.

A strong supportive culture. This is more than just liking the people with whom you work with or developing good fellowship with them. It also includes collaborating and brainstorming with them about challenges on a transaction or marketing and growing your business without being concerned that they will take advantage of you.

In the company survey completed in 2017, we asked our team to identify the best attribute of our C21JFC. The primary answers were family, integrity, training, support, team, and caring. We also asked what they liked best about our company and words such as family, atmosphere, management, people, support, and environment were repeatedly noted.

This type of atmosphere wasn’t created on accident, but rather something that has been fostered and grown over the years. In fact, our culture statement for the past two decades says that CENTURY 21 Judge Fite Company is a diversified group of people who work together as a family and operate like a business.

Growth is a priority. As a company, we are constantly focused on helping our team members grow both professionally and personally. We constantly offer real estate classes, business management classes and financial management classes like Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University to support our real estate professionals. Additionally, many of our offices also host exercise classes and book club meetings. The results that we see from this are staggering. Not only do we get to witness the growth of our people’s businesses but also the completion of goals and family dreams such as paying off mortgages, college for children, etc.

The founder of our company, Judge Fite, used to say, “if you aren’t growing, you are dying.” We take that statement to heart and are always focused on growth. Not just growth in numbers of real estate professionals or in production, but in the growth of the individuals who are part of our company family.
